Mrs. Mary Alice Long, 90, widow of James Long, died Tuesday morning at Culver Hospital. She had been seriouly ill since suffering a hip fracture two weeks ago. Born Oct 24, 1860 in Illinois, Mrs. Long was the daughter of Rev. Isaac and Elizabeth Embree. She married James Long in Illinois in 1879. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Long had lived in Crawfordsville since 1918. In recent months she had made her home at 210 W. Main Street. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Keys of Detroit, Michigan; two grandchildren, Ralph Keys, of Ann Arbor, and Mary Elizabeth Hulett of Dearborn, Mich; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Clark of Kent, Ohio and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bennett Fulp officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Wednesday. - kbz
